What RosterBound does for your program

RosterBound gives every athlete in your program one free place for their film, measurables, academics and your endorsement. College coaches get a cleaner picture of your players, and you spend less time answering the same questions.

  • It's free for athletes and families, and optional. No athlete has to join, and no one pays to be seen.
  • You can endorse athletes you've coached and confirm their stats when they ask.
  • RosterBound staff help with roster onboarding and parent nights for your program.
  • Partner schools can have a team page showing their public athletes.

1. Getting connected

There are two ways to connect with an athlete. Both end in the same place: you can endorse them.

Option A: accept an athlete's invite (most common).

  1. Your athlete invites you from their dashboard as their High school / club coach.
  2. Open the RosterBound email and click the link.
  3. Create an account with the same email, or click Log in if you already have one. The invite is accepted when you sign in.

Option B: create a Coach account first.

A new Coach account starts as pending verification.
  1. Sign up at rosterbound.com and choose Coach.
  2. Under Your school and team, choose High school coach or Club coach, your sport and your school, then click Save.
  3. RosterBound staff verify your account. Until then you'll see "pending verification".
  4. When your athletes invite you, accept from the email while you're signed in.

2. Your dashboard

Your linked athletes and endorsements.

Each athlete you're connected to appears with:

  • View Profile and Recruiting Progress (view only),
  • Copy Link and Share to pass their profile on to college contacts,
  • your endorsement and its status, with Withdraw endorsement.

Coach accounts also have a My athletes list on the Coach Dashboard with the same Endorse and Withdraw actions.

The rest of the Coach Dashboard.

3. Endorse an athlete

  1. Find the athlete on your dashboard and click Endorse.
  2. Confirm you coached them, and add your title and school.
  3. Write a short note (up to 300 characters) a college coach would find useful.
  4. Submit. The endorsement is pending until RosterBound staff confirm you're a real coach at that school.
  5. Once approved, it appears on the athlete's profile as HS coach endorsed with your name, title and note. The athlete or their parent can choose to hide it.

You can withdraw an endorsement at any time.

4. Confirm stats when an athlete asks

Athletes can ask you to confirm specific numbers, like height, weight or 40-yard dash. You'll get an email with a link. Open it, check each number, and confirm the ones you know are accurate. Confirmed stats show Verified by Coach on the athlete's profile. Links expire after 14 days.

5. Roster onboarding and parent nights

RosterBound staff can come to your school to:

  • walk your athletes through building their profiles,
  • run a parent night on the recruiting process, NCAA eligibility and how families stay in control, and
  • set up your school's team page.

To request a visit, go to Schools & Programs (rosterbound.com/schools) and fill in the program interest form. We'll be in touch to schedule it.

6. Team pages

A sample school team page.

A team page lists your program's public athletes by sport, plus your coaching staff and how many endorsements each coach has given. Only athletes whose profiles are public appear. Schools that partner early are marked Founding Partner.

Tips

  • Be specific. "Runs the route tree cleanly, coachable, 3.6 GPA" helps a college coach more than "great kid".
  • Be fair. Endorse athletes you'd stand behind. Endorsements are optional, and not every athlete needs one right away.
  • Confirm what you know. Only confirm stats you've measured or seen measured.
  • Share up. Pass profile links to college coaches you already know.
